PMID : PMCID Converter

For articles that fall under the Public Access Policy, NIH-funded authors are required to cite the PubMed Central reference number (PMCID) on grant applications, proposals and progress reports. To better identify PMCIDs, the NIH has released the PMID : PMCID Converter.

The converter will easily provide you with either the PMID (the PubMed reference number) or the PMCID, depending on which number you already have. Numbers can be added to the converter individually or in groups, allowing for convenient batch processing.
