To help users understand the various impact factors that can be used to help evaluate publication quality, Carpenter Library has launched a new page detailing four different impact factor metrics with explanations on how to use each. Impact factor metrics highlighted are Journal Citation Reports, Eigenfactor, h-index, and Cited Reference Search.
However, as you hopefully know, all impact factor metrics have their shortcomings. To give you a better idea of your "true" impact factor, we believe this comic from PhD Comics is particularly useful:
